Carphin St Andrews

A really busy start to May!!

I was commissioned to undertake a photo shoot of ‘Carphin St Andrews’ by the property managers, Fusion UK Limited.  They are promoting this manor house as a premium wedding location and wanted new images for their website and sales literature.

So fully armed with my equipment, I headed up to St Andrews on the 30th April, to stay at the house the night before the shoot.  This was ideal as I had the opportunity to view the house and gardens beforehand, and spec out the best vantage points…..I was still taking photographs at 10pm!

At 7am on the day of the shoot, I took full advantage of the beautiful weather and was out and about, taking photographs of the gardens.  I’d been told to expect really cold weather and had packed nothing but jumpers….I should have packed my shorts!

Fusion had arranged for a model and local suppliers to be photographed, which really added to the atmosphere and occasion.  Michelle was my bridal model for the day and she was really fun to work with – her dress, provided by Aliya Rose, was stunning as were her flowers, supplied by County Fayre Florists.  I got some great shots of the bridal preparations – and was really envious of her hair stylist, April from Spoiled Hairdressing!

I love old American cars and was really excited to shoot a fantastic white Cadillac – thanks Jim!  Also at the house were Blue Murder Events, who organise murder mystery evenings, so later in the day Michelle traded in her bouquet for a kitchen knife!

After a great day – in the sunshine – I set off on the next leg of my journey to Perthshire…….
